WE started when my ex wife and I got a 3d printer back in 2017, to try and print some custom pieces for a project she was doing. I had the more patience for the learning and I just kept at it. We sold the one printer ( at the time didn't know how to do the dual color set up.) The purchased a Ender 3v2 and as I learned more on it I did the mods and upgrades. I printed my ex a couple cosplay pieces on the Ender and was totally enjoying doing this for her as well as other pieces for her esty shop. I was later given a cr10 by a co-worker who though the board was blown , it took me 2 hours to put it together ( it was totally apart in a box nothing together but the base frame) after I while I did upgrades to it and this printer is my favorite by far for fdm at this time. When my ex tossed me out and I end up moving to WI, my roommates and I got talking and I showed them some of the resin prints and they agreed it would be a nicer printer to play with, I have done a ton of prints on the printer as the Saturn 2 I got is great. my few failures I have all been 95% user errors in either setting it up or because I unplugged it by accident, it large enough I been able to do almost all the fdm print files on it with no mods to the file. I been teaching myself to do larger pieces for custom orders. Which has been a great deal of fun and at 47 I can say I am learning still. I am hoping to replace the current fdm printers with larger and better printers and add a second resin printer for better turn around time for custom orders.
